Denmark Update 8 -

The Ten Dance qualifier has been danced, Mitch and Misha have recieved high enough marks to qualify them for the "A" Ten Dance Group.

The "B" Standard Final danced on Thursday was decided by a tie-breaker known as Rule 11. Mitch and Misha won the Foxtrot and Tango. They were second in the Waltz and Quickstep. Their competitors Svenn Olssen and Jan Sondergaard won the Waltz and Quickstep and took 2nd in the Tango and Foxtrot. This left both couples tied for first place and the contest had to be decided by the use of Rule 11.

Denmark Update 1 -

Mitch and Misha have competed in their first round of competition with great success. They began this morning with the grading round of Latin competition. In the grading round ALL of the latin men compete in three dances Samba, Cha Cha, and Rumba. It is the job of the adjudicators to separate the couples into four different skill levels.

Judges grade the couples and decide who should dance in the "A" , "B", "C', "D", and "E" levels. The "A" level is equivalent to the Professional or Open level. "B" is a gold level, "C" Silver, and "D" Bronze.

Mitch & Misha along with another thirty or so couples all scored high enough to qualify for the "A" level of competition. There are enough couples in this level that they are now waiting to dance in the quarter final round of the "A" L:Latin.
